Miscut (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains exactly what stays on your device, what leaves it, when, and where it goes.
The short version. Measuring centering, identifying the card and checking its condition all happen on your device. Nothing leaves your phone unless you start one of the actions listed below — listing a card on eBay, building a Whatnot pack, or looking up a market price. There are no accounts, no logins, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
Card photos, measurements and saved scans. Every photo you take or import is analysed on your device. Your saved scans, measurements, card names, costs and prices are stored only on your device (and in your own iCloud or iTunes backups, which Apple manages under Apple’s Privacy Policy). Deleting the app removes all of it.
Listing on eBay. If you connect your eBay account and publish a listing, the app sends the photos, title, description, price and condition you approved to eBay, under your own eBay account, using eBay’s APIs. eBay’s Privacy Policy governs what eBay does with them. Connecting your account goes through a sign-in relay we operate: it passes eBay’s sign-in code to eBay and returns your access token to your device, and it keeps neither. Your eBay token is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device; “Disconnect” in the eBay settings removes it.
Whatnot Show Pack. If you build a Show Pack, the listing photos you selected are uploaded to an image host we operate, so the CSV you import into Whatnot can link to them. They are served at public, unguessable addresses and kept so your Whatnot listings keep their photos. No name, account or other information is attached to them. Email us at any time to have hosted photos deleted.
Market prices. When market prices are enabled in Settings, the identified card’s name and collector number are sent to TCGdex (api.tcgdex.net) to fetch a price. No photo and nothing about you is sent.
Exchange rates. Currency conversions use published European Central Bank rates fetched from frankfurter.app. The request carries no information about you or your cards.
Purchases. The optional Pro subscription is sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy; we never see your payment details.
Only the photos you upload for Whatnot Show Packs, as described above. We hold no scans, measurements, card lists, eBay tokens or personal information.
The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
On-device data is yours to keep or delete; removing the app deletes it. Photos hosted for Whatnot Show Packs stay available until you ask us to delete them — email the address below and we will remove them.
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change accordingly.
